Every commission begins with a conversation. Share your ideas, inspiration, or occasion, and I’ll take care of the brushwork.
Whether it’s a meaningful gift or a piece for your space, let’s collaborate on something beautiful and uniquely yours.
After my Uncle George passed away I knew that I wanted to paint something truly special for my Aunt Annette. While in North Carolina I had taken a picture of his favorite flowers. A few days later a storm came through and sadly they were ruined. I was so glad that I had taken that picture. My Uncle traveled to China for work often and frequently brought back artwork. I decided to create a Chinese style watercolor combined with my own style as a tribute which now hangs in her beautiful sunroom.
A heartfelt tribute to the breathtaking beauty of Capaci, Sicily, this custom watercolor piece was created for the Giglio family, honoring a place rich in history, nostalgia, and coastal charm.
The “Capaci, Sicily for The Giglio’s” painting captures the sunlit shores, rolling hills, and vibrant seaside architecture with soft yet expressive brushstrokes, bringing the essence of this Mediterranean paradise to life.
The shimmering blues of the sea, warm terracotta tones of the town, and dramatic Sicilian landscape create a composition full of movement and warmth. This piece is more than a painting—it’s a story of connection, heritage, and the timeless beauty of a place that holds meaning for those who call it home.
The prints that you will be ordering will use a Giclee printer. Giclee printing is a high-quality digital printing method that uses inkjet printers to create prints on high-quality watercolor paper. The term comes from the French word gicleur, which means “to spray”.
The overall aim is to make each giclee print as faithful as possible to the original painting, particularly in color. Therefore, the best that we can achieve is a print that resembles the original, that is close enough for the purchaser to accept it as being faithful.
Since light is a major catalyst, watercolors should be kept out of direct light and protected by a sheet of filtered glass or acrylic. They should also be mounted on acid-free mat boards to keep the paper from discoloring over time.
